On November 3, 2023, Zoetis colleagues and local officials celebrated One Health Day by unveiling an expansion at the company’s manufacturing site in County Offaly, Ireland. The state-of-the-art facility in Tullamore will house production lines for Zoetis’ biological therapeutics and monoclonal antibodies (mAbs), marking a fourfold increase in the site’s manufacturing capacity.

One Health Day is an annual recognition and celebration of the interconnection between people, animals and their shared environment. Zoetis is committed to this approach, having structured its innovative portfolio of animal health solutions around this principle.

“The concept of ‘One Health’ is essential to Zoetis and we are committed to developing sustainable animal health solutions that support animals, people and the planet,” said Jamie Brannan, Executive Vice President and Group President, International Operations, Aquaculture and Global Diagnostics at Zoetis. “I’m delighted that our team hosted this event to share the impact of the innovative monoclonal antibodies produced here, which will positively impact animals not only in Ireland, but in many countries around the world where we market our products.”

Zoetis colleagues were joined at the new site by two members of parliament and Pippa Hackett, Minister of State for Ireland’s Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine, who was appreciative of the opportunity to witness firsthand the groundbreaking work being done in Tullamore every day.

Zoetis’ presence in Ireland dates back to 1975 with the purchase of its Tallaght site. The expansion at Tullamore builds on the company’s current footprint in Ireland, which employs more than 500 colleagues across commercial offices and manufacturing facilities. Zoetis’ office in Cherrywood, Dublin, serves as the headquarters for its International Commercial Operations and Global Manufacturing and Supply organizations, and houses local commercial operations for Ireland. In addition to Tullamore, the manufacturing site in Rathdrum supports many of Zoetis’ flagship products, and products from the Tallaght facility are exported to over 80 markets around the world.
